Texas State University System is the oldest university system in Texas, founded in 1911.
The system was moving into historic O’Henry Hall in downtown Austin and the building was undergoing extensive renovations to restore what be the headquarters of the system to its original beauty.
Much care was gone into preserve as much of the original building as possible while also making it a modern office space fit to house the leadership at TSUS.
Framewave documented this process over the course of over a year and captured footage of the renovations throughout its various stages and interviewed key stake holders in the project.
Framewave Media partnered with the Texas State University System to produce a documentary-style brand film chronicling the restoration of its historic headquarters, O. Henry Hall, in downtown Austin.
Featuring university leadership, architects, and preservation specialists, the film highlights the thoughtful planning and craftsmanship required to restore one of Texas’ most significant historic buildings while adapting it to serve the future of higher education.
By combining cinematic interviews with architectural storytelling, the project demonstrates how organizations can use documentary filmmaking to celebrate milestones, preserve institutional legacy, and communicate the long-term impact of transformational projects.
